Jean & Jim in the Knee of Orion.
Note Jean's long-necker bird of cleavage in the stardust above my StellarVision Eyes. Jean seems to appear above as Andromeda smiling as Perseus-Pleiades-Aries, and also as Corvus on the cross over Orion's passage and again as the Nurse of Jove in the Eye of Aquila in my personal reading of the of celestial sphere mythology. The Orion Nebula forms a mind-mirror "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" scene as my vision pierces the stars and spirits converge to make away with my soul. My factor-of-4 in unified field theory seems to be echoed in a 4-star diamond pointing at her lean cheek. She often wore a zircon or diamond ring larger than one I could easily afford. When I met her, I was on a tuna and grapefruit diet that gave me lean cheeks too, but by the time I had to escape back to Kansas after losing my job and my car, my face was getting soft and dog-cheeked again from eating an ice cream cone or two each week. Two years later I came back to the Tampa Bay area after leaving Telos Federal Systems in Oklahoma, hoping to see her again, a bit like King Kong searching for Faye Ray in New York, or like Beowulf, perhaps. Jean and I wrote across the thousands of miles that separated us before I came back to Tampa (a Faye Ray effect), but I lingered too long at Telos, where one of her letters finally turned out as a pink slip, after which her communications ceased. After I reached Tampa, I phoned in, but she was attached to another fellow, so I pursued other women, too, as drawn in the nebular stardust around Chamaeleon. (See the Chamaeleon nebular scene in a photo by David Malin in Observing the Constellations by John Sanford, with star charts by Wil Tirion.) Eventually, I fell for my attempt to rejoin Jean, after I lost my car due to local licensing problems. Like King Kong, I hit the bottom hard.

Press for Visionary.(Also, I recently happened to be studying Anderson's Introduction to Flight when I saw the most recent incarnation of King Kong, so that I have been grappling with the problem of flying as an engineering problem, including hypersonic re-entry from the moon.)
