Job Description:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Electrical hardware design of new products related to:
o analog and digital circuits
o RF design
o electromechanical components (motors, interconnect, user interface, etc)
o Lighting/LED incorporation
Creating schematics and using circuit design software to produce printed circuit boards
Research of new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designs
Prototyping and execution of test programs to verify compliance to all applicable performance,
regulatory, and quality requirements
Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for
design modifications as required
Support production facilities in the manufacture and testing of products
Complete documentation of the design in the required formats
Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of new and existing designs [Books, Links]
Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance [Links, Books]
Part and vendor evaluation and qualification
Experience/Education:
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from accredited university required
7+ years relevant experience (compensation based on experience)
High consideration given to candidates with experience in these technologies:
o RF design [Books, Links], MEMS [Books, Links], AHRS [Links, Books],
LCD [Books, Links], ARINC 429 [Books, Links], rechargeable batteries [Links, Books]
o RTCA DO-160/178/254 familiarity [Links], motor control [Links, Books],
motor design [Books, Links], stator design [Links, Books]
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with production
personnel, engineering, management, and other departments
Organized, focused, and results-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects
simultaneously
Ability to apply gained knowledge across multiple applications
Printed circuit layout software [Books, Links] (PADS [Links] preferred)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office [Links, Books] products required
Working knowledge of AutoCAD [Links, Books] preferred
Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles [Links, Books] a plus
