Job Description:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Electrical hardware design of new products related to:

o analog and digital circuits

o RF design

o electromechanical components (motors, interconnect, user interface, etc)

o Lighting/LED incorporation

• Creating schematics and using circuit design software to produce printed circuit boards

• Research of new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designs

• Prototyping and execution of test programs to verify compliance to all applicable performance,

regulatory, and quality requirements

• Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for

design modifications as required

• Support production facilities in the manufacture and testing of products

• Complete documentation of the design in the required formats

• Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of new and existing designs [Books, Links]

• Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance [Links, Books]

• Part and vendor evaluation and qualification

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from accredited university required

• 7+ years relevant experience (compensation based on experience)

• High consideration given to candidates with experience in these technologies:

o RF design [Books, Links], MEMS [Books, Links], AHRS [Links, Books],
LCD [Books, Links], ARINC 429 [Books, Links], rechargeable batteries [Links, Books]

o RTCA DO-160/178/254 familiarity [Links], motor control [Links, Books],
 motor design [Books, Links], stator design [Links, Books]

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with production

personnel, engineering, management, and other departments

• Organized, focused, and results-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects

simultaneously

• Ability to apply gained knowledge across multiple applications

• Printed circuit layout software [Books, Links] (PADS [Links] preferred)

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office [Links, Books] products required

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD [Links, Books] preferred

• Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles [Links, Books] a plus
