Dear Maureen,
Thank you for your inquiry concerning my interest in a job at ATK. As a matter of fact, I have some experience and/or training in the 3 job specializations that you mentioned below, and have lived in the Tampa Bay area for 6 years, so that I know my way around the neighborhood. Regarding the jobs you mentioned:

1) Missile Warning Systems [Books, Papers, Links].
2) Electro-Optics Sensor Design [Books, Papers, Links].
3) RF/MMW Design [Books, Papers, Links].
(Also see RF/MW design: [Books, Links, Papers])

I have some training and experience in all 3 areas, and an MSEE degree with relevant work in both civilian and military applications. I have laboratory experience and development experience relevant to all three positions, and am a skilled Internet investigator regarding technical details that are commonly known. I am also a subscriber to relevant journals, such as EDN, Photonics, Photonics Spectra, Electronic Components News, and similar trade journals. Otherwise, I am adroit as an analyst and can read the most sophisticated and advanced papers in these areas with comprehension when they require a knowledge of advanced engineering mathematics.

Perhaps it would be best to join you in Clearwater to continue work in the military and defense domain. I formerly worked at ABA Electromechanical Systems and General Defense (later Radiation Systems) in the Pinellas Park area, and at Honeywell Defense Communications near USF, which changed its name to Group Technologies and then to Sybex. Otherwise, I worked at civilian firms in the area such as Alphatype/Berthold and at Fotomat through Compro before it was acquired.

Please tell me more about the jobs and possibilities at ATK.

Yours Truly,

James A. Green
